Photographer Fabian Busch sent Harper’s Bazaar this set of photos from Germany, with a message: “We work in an industry that requires everything to be rushed. In that production rhythm, we sometimes forget that the object of our work is people – individual individuals.” His model, none other than Soulin Omar, is the Top 3 finalist Germany Next Top Model 2021.
In fashion, models are often referred to as clothes hangers. Their job is to breathe life into the costumes. Whether on the catwalk or taking a photo of a l ookbook, the model has to make the outfit gorgeous, lively and eye-catching. They have to convince the client of the aesthetics of a design. Participating in Germany Next Top Model for the 17th time this year, Soulin Omar reached the final round. At the final round on German television on May 27, 2021, Soulin Omar was in the Top 3. She stopped before two opponents, Alex-Mariah Peter and Dascha Carriero.
Fabian Busch’s grandfather was a painter. He inherited his eye for artistic analysis. Graduating from art photography school, he is interested in the surrealism style of photography.
